“K” Line joins supply chains to transport finished cars to Philippines

K Line Auto Logistics Philippines, Inc. (“KALP”), a joint venture between “K” Line and partners, has signed a contract with a major car manufacturer for transportation services.

Sales of new cars in the Philippines are growing for the fifth consecutive year, joining the ASEAN region-wide trend for rising demand in passenger cars. Accordingly, demand for delivery is also increasing, with KALP’s business booming as a result. The company provides high quality and value added services, such as import customs clearance, land transportation, storage, and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).

On the Philippine market, “K” Line expects to repeat the success it achieved in Vietnam, where, last year, the company launched a complex of logistical services for the delivery of passenger cars, in co-operation with maritime transportation via Pure Car Carrier (PCC).

“K” Line’s medium-term management plan aims to expand complete auto logistics services, with the Philippines as the tenth country of the ASEAN region in which the company is providing such services.
