Westlink Logistics was contracted to relocate two Pacific Patrol Boats

Patrol Boats raised from the water for onward delivery to Cairns, Australia.

In Fiji and Tonga, Westlink took possession of two vessels, with the aid of experienced project managers. Following pre-lift inspection and the verification of structural integrity, the operation went smoothly, with the local navy liaising at each end to facilitate the hand over.

Outcomes

• Prior to the arrival of the vessel, pre-lift inspection and structural integrity verification was carried out.

• The local Navy liaised at each port, to facilitate a smooth hand over.

• Two (2) vessels were successfully delivered to Australia for refurbishment.

Highlights

• Zero Lost time Injury (LTI)

• Quarantine inspection completed on delivery, without the need for remedial action.

• No time was lost in waiting, either at the port of loading or discharge.

• The Fijian and Tongan navies gave their assistance readily, and with efficiency.
