From 2024, the mandatory labeling of goods will be applied to all consumer products, and the tracking system will become uniform for the EAEU countries.

How does product labeling work?

Each item is marked with a unique identifier. These are digital codes that can be used to get all the information about the product and its movement. Mandatory labeling of goods allows the state to control their turnover and prevent fakes and counterfeit goods from entering it. The codes are generated and issued at the request of the manufacturers by the system operator only.

The codes are encrypted, and they can't be forged. Re-use will also not work: the procedure for labeling goods in 2020 guaranteed that when the goods are written off or sold to the final buyer, they are permanently withdrawn from circulation.

As soon as the code is released, the state begins to track everything that happens to the product. Information about production, import, movement, sales, and any other operations is included in the labeling information system.
